Written by the Smoke Hours editorial team. We sign as a team, not with a personal name, and we never use an invented persona. Our method is the same on every page: we read the makers' and stores' published product pages, specification blocks, support guides and FAQs, quote the figures with the date we read them, run the arithmetic shown on the page, and pick grills with written rules, never by commission. What this site is, and is not
Smoke Hours compares pellet grills and pellet smokers from the figures their makers and sellers publish on their U.S. stores, and turns them into numbers you can use: hours on one hopper, pellets and dollars per cook, what fits on the grates. It has not tested any grill and is not affiliated with any brand or store. It does not replace your owner's manual, especially on placement, clearances and start-up. Brand names belong to their owners.
